Learning to appreciate mine

As I read one of my favorite blogs this morning I realized something...It was like a lightbulb went of in my head! I constantly struggle as I become more and more, ok I will say it, OBSESSED with photography and the beauty of it with wanting my pictures to look like this persons and that persons...Well like I said as I was reading Jasmine Stars Blog this morning I realized that even people like her struggle with this same thing! I have so many heros I will admit that I so deeply admire their ability to capture emotions in a certain way, whether it be tears, joy, love and so on but I must realize that I have my own style to capture these emotions as well! I will appreciate their work and I will appreciate mine:)

It's been one of those....

weeks....phew....can i take a breathe now! I just got out of a very refreshing bath, used my Mary Kay Time Wise Moisturizer (that I have been out of for a couple of weeks now, uuggghhh) and boy do I feel like a new woman! Seriously, let me just tell you what has happened...Here it goes, well Taylure has been sick for over a couple of weeks now with a bad ear infection AND pink eye....Sunday Ayden started running a high fever, which we found out this week was mono...He has been out of daycare since, ummmm Thursday! Kaleb started calling from school on Wednesday saying he didn't feel good so he came home early (which by the way, this week is one of those very important-dont want to miss-TCAP-for crying out loud kind of weeks at school) Thursday he "toughed it out" and went back and called again half the day through and came home early again running a fever this time. Friday morning he was off to the DR and guess what....You got it MONO! Not to mention in the middle of all of this mommy had to tough out a full day of a terrible belly ache and headache which was I guess to be a 24 hour type bug because I felt better by the next day, thank the lord for that. We all know that it's never good when mommies get sick:( Joe has kind of flew under the radar so far and we are praying that he doesn't get sick...We are just praying at this point for complete healing of our family<3 it has been a tough week that's for sure but one important thing that I have realized is that sometimes we take little things in life for granted...for example...I miss my boys running around bugging the heck out of each other...We have all 5 kind of been at each other throats the past couple of weeks and I know these hard times will pass, I just want for us to enjoy each other every minute that we have together whether it be when we are sick or well:) My good friend Cara sent me the sweetest little reminder not to live each day in a routine and to live my life to the fullest and from this moment on I have decided...that's just what I am going to do!

Duke+playground+lollipop=happy boy

i met up with elaina, travis and their sweet baby boy, duke at the worlds fair site last saturday. i went to high school with elaina and travis and i was so thrilled went elaina contacted me about taking dukes pictures:) he was such a happy baby and LOVED the playground, as most kids do...but this little fellow, well once he and the slide met they just didn't want to part. once we finally got him free from his new BF (the slide) heehee, he kept me quite busy running all around and that little stinker just didn't want to turn towards my camera for anything. little did he know i snuck a few in on him while he wasn't looking;)

IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!

OM-GOODNESS...I am so excited right now...everone in my house is peacefully sleeping but i can't seem to because the BIG project i have been working on is finally complete and i am so very happy...i have lightroom up, facebook up and keep toggling back and forth like a crazy person trying to get this blog post done....i am just so full of joy right now...why you ask...well the thing is....i will tell you right after....you see these pics i took of my gorgeous cousin Josh and my sweet and beautiful aunt Jackie when we visited them in GA last weekend...heehee, i know i'm crazy:o)

Farm friends

I made me some new farm friends...Lindsey and Matthew...They are getting married in July and Lindsey had contacted me about doing some pictures to send out in her wedding invites..It was fun because I got to go out to their house which, after I actually found it, was beautiful!! They had soooo many animals, horses, goats, dogs...and so much land, it was just so pretty and peaceful out there! Silly me, I wore flat slip on shoes and I thinks I stepped in poo several times..heehee, Lindsey and Matthew sure got a laugh out of it...I think they probably thought that I was crazy for wearing flat slip on shoes out to a farm but oh well, leave it to me. It was such a pretty day and there was some beautiful sunshine pouring down on us!! Thank you guys for giving me the opportunity to photograph you. You are both beautiful people. I wish you all the luck and love in your marriage!
