drew hearts azure

Where do I begin...Azure is a very close friend of mine and has been for a very long time now. We were introduced through some friends a few years ago and what can I say we have been together ever since:) She has been there for me through a lot of good times and a lot of bad times..But if we can go back to the good times for a moment, she was in the room with me as my son Ayden was born, and for that I know we will be life long friends. We were the kind of friends who was together almost every day for the longest time and then I guess life came along and driftest apart a bit, but I know in my heart that she is always there if I ever need her and I hope that she knows and feels the same way about me as well. Azure, I love you and consider you one of my best friends.
Now on to Drew..I think God led me to Drew and his family. I met Drew when my son Kaleb was 2 months old and am so lucky that I did because the Kitts' have been like a second family to us and for that we are forever greatful. Drew, I am so happy that you have found such an amazing person to spend the rest of your life with. You both deserve the most happiness that I could ever wish upon you. I love you both so much! I hope you enjoy your photos.

*Oh and please let me add the funny story, I don't mind the embarrassment to myself, that went along with our photoshoot. Basically the entire time, I don't really know if I was nervous because I was shooting my closest friends or what but I was SO clumsy...I was tripping over anything and everything, almost getting run over by bikers and cars and then the best part...At the very end of our shoot, we were wrapping up and I was bent over reaching in my camera bag to get Azure's things out that I was carrying for her (we were under a bridge, if you already know where this is going) and all of a sudden I feel something wet drop on the back of my neck. I slap the back of neck and sort of yell because I thought if was a bug and NO, a bird had pooped on me..OH YES, you heard me right! It was aweful.. But the good thing is, Azure and Drew and well, me all got a good laugh in:) Ok, folks there you have it. I'm CLUMSY! That's all!!

Milas and Jubal

I had the pleasure of meeting two very neat little boys about a week ago! They were very playful as boys normally are and very curious....I thought they had the coolest names, as I had never heard them before. I love to hear a unique name that you don't hear often and this day I got to hear two! Anyway, off we went to explore the great downtown Knoxville and Market Square and I think the boys really enjoyed it. They also brought a furry friend along and had lots of fun with her as you will see. I just stood back and let them play and snapped away as they enjoyed themselves. I hope to shoot them again someday:)

The Fleenors....

Heather and Brad are good friends of mine and when Brad asked me to do pictures for them after they renewed their vows I was thrilled!! He was doing it for Heather as a surprise which I thought was the sweetest thing ever and I love them and love being around them. They have two children so we try to get together when we can and let the kids play and we always have such a good time when we are together. They are the kind of people that just make you smile and happy to be around them. I wish them the best of luck always and forever and am so overjoyed that they thought of me to photograph such a special day for them! Heather and Brad I hope you enjoy the photos!

Worms, dandelions and Cameron

This little guy was a little shy with me....at first....and i say at first because with some of my little friends it takes them warming up to me. BUT, once we started talking and found that we both had one thing in common he was fine from there on out...What was that one thing you ask?! Well, it was catipillars! As you all know I have two boys of my own so of course I know about all these little critters and have had many of them in my house, on my body, in my car...many places that I have never ever wanted them but my boys thought that the catipillars needed a "home" at the time so they would put them there:) Anyway back to Cameron...He and I and his mommy looked for many things in our time together, the catepillars, worms, and and dandelions and I must say we were successful in finding at least one of all these items...It was kind of like we were on a scavenger hunt:) He is such a cutie little man and I enjoyed him so...And now, as always, please enjoy my favorites from our time spent at Ijams Nature Center!

The Santel Family

It is already time for Callie's 3 month session....It seems like only yesterday that I did her sweet little newborn session. And boy do I remember that and I'm sure that mommy does as well, we tried and tried to get her to do as we wanted for her pics but she had other plans that day. Well last Thursday we went to UT Gardens and she she was in such a happy mood. She was all smiles without much having to be done from mommy or me. The entire Santel family came along and of course Tyler kept us entertained as always. Oh that little boy is so funny...He made the funniest little faces and at one point he was on his daddy's phone talking and just walking around and literally looked like an adult, hand gestures and all:) Here are some of my favorites from the day!

*And seriously not to hurry time or anything, but I cannot wait till Callie's 6 month session:)
